BearingPoint emerged from KPMG’s consulting services in 1997. BearingPoint began trading on NYSE October 3, 2002 as BE. BearingPoint had $3B revenues, 17,000 employees based in McLean, VA. On February 18, 2009, BearingPoint filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Deloitte bought US Federal Services, and PwC bought US Commercial and Japan practices. Since August 2009, BearingPoint operates in Europe with Peter Mockler leading 120 partners, 3,250 employees in 14 countries, revenues € 567MM.
