Accenture was awarded a multiyear contract to support the execution of an integrated supply chain enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform by Delhaize Belgium while financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed to the public.
Based on their global experience of system integration, Accenture has agreed to collaborate with Delhaize Belgium to implement the new platform that will allow the retailer to standardize their process of supply chain transactions. This leads to increased productivity and efficiency on the whole while the program will also enable Delhaize to manage the inventory in their datacenters and thus aiding them to make quicker and better business decisions. This will also provide better services to customers and reduce inventory costs. While working on the program, Accenture will implement the G.O.L.D solution from Aldata, which is a global leader in the supply of integrated business solutions to tend to the retail consumer and wholesale distribution markets.

The standardization of business processes and applications across their supply chain will help to create simplified and streamlined operations, enabling Delhaize Belgium to further improve their services for their customers and stores, while reducing inventory costs.”
