Allied Irish Banks PLC appointed Bernard Byrne as Chief Financial Officer of AIB Group. Byrne began his career as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 1988. In 1994 he joined ESB International as Commercial Director, leaving in 1998 to take up the post of Finance Director with IWP International Plc.
