Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Blazer has served as chief executive officer since April 2000 and as chairman of the board since February 2001. Under Mr. Blazer's leadership, BearingPoint, Inc. became the first of the Big Five consulting firms to separate from its audit and tax parent and become an independent, publicly traded company. Mr. Blazer has led the acquisitions of the consulting businesses of 20 non-US KPMG International practices and the negotiations to acquire selected Andersen Business Consulting units in 2002. From 1997 until April 2000, Mr. Blazer served as a member of a two-person executive team (serving as co-chief executive officer from August 1999 until April 2000) that led the consolidation of KPMG LLP’s global consulting practices into a single business unit. From 1991 until 1997, Mr. Blazer served as partner-in-charge of KPMG’s federal services consulting practice. In 1977, Mr. Blazer joined KPMG LLP as a consulting professional in the Washington, D.C. office.
Group Executive Vice President Worldwide Client Service
Mr. Schwartz has global profit and loss responsibility for BearingPoint’s four industry-focused lines of business: communications and content; consumer, industrial and technology; financial services; and public services. Mr. Schwartz has served in this position since March 2000. Mr. Schwartz has responsibility worldwide for client delivery, new solution development, key strategic initiatives and global alliances. He is a corporate officer and a member of BearingPoint’s executive team. Prior to his current role, Mr. Schwartz held various positions including: executive vice president for the financial services line of business; managing partner for the communication and content industry sector; and partner-in-charge of the information, communications and electronics business unit. Mr. Schwartz began his career with BearingPoint as an entry-level consultant in the public services practice. Prior to his career at BearingPoint, Mr. Schwartz served as an RF-4 pilot in the U.S. Air Force.
Group Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Donahue is responsible for managing operations at BearingPoint and has served in this role since April 2000. He has played an integral role in expanding our global presence with the acquisition and integration of more than 25 consulting businesses around the world, including the acquisition of KPMG Consulting AG’s German, Swiss and Austrian practices, our largest acquisition to date. Mr. Donahue is one of BearingPoint’s major public faces, working closely with Rand Blazer in communicating the company’s vision and business model to the investment and business community through meetings with analysts and interviews with the press. He is a corporate officer and a member of BearingPoint’s executive team. From February 1997 until March 2000, Mr. Donahue served as partner-in-charge of the Solutions practice, where he oversaw all products and service offerings for the company. From 1996 until 1998, Mr. Donahue directed KPMG LLP's global PeopleSoft consulting practice.
Executive Vice President General Counsel and Secretary
Mr. Black has served in these capacities since April 2000 and advises on all legal strategies including those regarding mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and compliance issues, corporate risk management, marketing and public relations initiatives and human resources. Mr. Black guided the company through the intricate legal process that culminated in its Initial Public Offering on February 8, 2001. Mr. Black also has responsibility for all board of director activities. He is a corporate officer and a member of BearingPoint’s executive team. From May 1995 until joining the company, Mr. Black was executive vice president, secretary and general counsel of Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., an information technology services company, where he also served as a director. At ACS, Mr. Black was responsible for all legal affairs, including corporate governance and compliance issues, legal risk management, state and federal government lobbying and political action committee administration, customer and vendor contract analysis and review, and management and strategy for litigation and other dispute resolution efforts.
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Falcone has served in this capacity since joining BearingPoint in April 2003. He is responsible for BearingPoint’s corporate finance and accounting functions globally and serves as a member of BearingPoint’s executive management team, which is responsible for the strategic direction of the company. Mr. Falcone’s areas of global responsibility include investor relations, controllership functions, treasury, taxes, and planning and forecasting. He is overseeing the efforts to integrate the recent acquisitions into BearingPoint’s global financial systems and ensuring that the appropriate financial controls are in place. Mr. Falcone is currently working with the BearingPoint executive management team on refining the company’s long-term growth strategy. In addition to focusing on key metrics within the organization, Mr. Falcone joins others members of senior management in representing BearingPoint to the investment community. He is a corporate officer and a member of BearingPoint’s executive team. Prior to joining BearingPoint, Mr. Falcone served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Nike, Inc., the world’s largest international footwear and Apparel Company, from 1992 to 1998, a time when the company grew annual sales to nearly $10 billion. He began his career at Price Waterhouse, LLP where he spent 21 years, eight of which as an audit partner. Most recently, he was chief financial officer for 800.com, a pioneer in consumer electronics Internet retailing.
