Communications and Content Team :
Mr. Franklin is the executive vice president responsible for Global Technology Services and our Global Communications, Content, and Utilities business units. He is responsible for ensuring BearingPoint provides a comprehensive suite of professional services to our clients including low cost technology resources, off shore development, outsourcing, and our traditional management & technology consulting services. Since joining the firm in 1995, Mr. Franklin has served in several capacities in the Communications & Content practice, including responsibility for our major accounts and several key leadership positions. Before joining BearingPoint in 1995, Mr. Franklin served as Director of Information Technology at a major communications company in Dallas and held several consulting roles in the Dallas office of Ernst & Young. Collectively, he has more then 20 years of experience in the business and technology integration field.
Miriam Henandez-Kakol is the Segment Leader for BearingPoint's Communications and Content Wireless practice. She is a senior-level executive with deep telecommunications knowledge and experience particularly in the areas of telecom operations, customer care and billing and customer relationship management. She has lead numerous large, complex global and domestic projects. Ms. Hernandez-Kakol joined then BearingPoint in June of 2000. Prior to joining BearingPoint, Ms. Hernandez-Kakol was Vice President and General Manager of the Customer Care and Billing business unit at Telcordia Technologies, formerly known as Bellcore. She launched the CC&B business for Telcordia in October of 1997 and was responsible for the introduction of the Telcordia Customer Manager and Order Manager products in 1999. During her 10 years at Telcordia, Ms. Hernandez-Kakol held various leadership jobs including managing consulting and engineering practices in the area of billing, operator services, call center management, quality measurements, customer acquisition and order management. Ms. Hernandez-Kakol also held various operations management positions at Southwestern Bell Telephone and Pacific Bell before her move to Bellcore.
Mr. Keane is a Managing Director leading the BearingPoint Cable practice. A successful eighteen-year track record in the telecommunications and cable industry enables him to provide cable organizations with the guidance and innovative leadership required to meet the needs of the business. Mr. Keane people skills, transitional management skills and technology skills enable him to consistently make a positive impact on an organization. Prior to joining BearingPoint, Mr Keane served as Vice President of Information Systems for a $4B Cable & Entertainment Company and was responsible for establishing the vision, strategy and tactical plan for the organizations systems department.
Matt Smith is the Utilities Segment leader of BearingPoint. He is based in Chicago and has over 24 years of experience providing professional services to the Utility industry. He has worked in all segments of the industry including generation and supply, trading, transmission, distribution and retail. His experience includes consulting on strategic planning and execution; design and implementation of business systems; merger and acquisitions; process re-engineering and a variety of other special projects. He has provided regulatory consulting and expert testimony before regulatory commissions regarding revenue requirements and non-traditional ratemaking alternatives. Prior to joining BearingPoint, Mr. Smith was the Global leader of the Energy Business Consulting practice at Andersen. In this role, he coordinated market-facing activities, new product development, knowledge management and resource deployment related to Energy Industry consulting solutions. Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University.
Domenick Ciccone is a Managing Director in BearingPoint’s Communications, Content and Utilities Practice. He has over 17 years of technical and managerial experience working primarily within the telecommunications and consulting industries. Mr. Ciccone is the solution lead for BearingPoint’s Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE). His experience includes systems and software development, software implementation, business process reengineering, software quality management and quality assurance. He has extensive large-scale program management experience especially in the area of telecom billing and customer care systems implementation. Prior to joining BearingPoint, Mr. Ciccone held various IT management positions within what is now Verizon Wireless Within BearingPoint’s Communications and Content unit, the client base ranges from regional players to conglomerate leaders. Within each segment the clients face challenges relative to their customers, their competitors and their stakeholders.
