Banking and Finance
The Banking and Finance service line offers a range of
services, including compliance and regulatory matters; general finance, such
as swaps, lending and derivatives; project finance; asset management;
structured finance; international finance; and, fiduciary transactions. It
also offers general advice and expertise on investment and pension
funds, stock exchange operations and capital markets.
Commercial
The Commercial service line deals with a number of different areas of law. In
fact, the service line covers and combines areas not covered by one of the
other legal service lines. More than 140 professionals in 25 countries are
working within the Commercial service line.

Corporate and M&A
Deloitte has established a service line to meet the challenge
of providing a consistent approach and coordinating specific M&A legal
work.
The service line consists of over 130 lawyers from many different countries,
mainly in Europe and Latin America. Fluent in two or more European languages,
they work closely together with the other lawyers of the legal practices and
with professionals from the other functions of the global Deloitte network.
The service line provides top expertise in corporate law
(secretarial services, intragroup organization and reorganization, securities),
M&A (structuring, negotiations, drafting of M&A contracts, due
diligence, implementation), and bankruptcy.
Employment Law
The Employment Law service line is one of the most active legal service lines.
More than 70 lawyers in many different countries provide legal advice to
clients in the field of employment and labor law as well as related areas.
EU & Competition Law
The European Union and Competition Law service line was created to respond to
the demand arising from the increasing influence of the European Union both
domestically and internationally. The service line comprises about 30 lawyers
from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Norway. The
service line has expertise in the following fields:
Intellectual Property
Deloitte has established an IP/e-Business service line to
provide comprehensive advice to its clients by ensuring adequate legal
compliance in the e-Business environment.
The IP/e-Business service line brings together a team of
specialist IP and e-lawyers, experienced in finding the right answers to
e-legal and regulatory questions. Working closely with clients, they bring a
practical and plain-speaking approach to IP and e-Business projects, presenting
commercial solutions in a pragmatic format. Additionally, They are able to draw
seamlessly upon the full array of other specialized e-expertise within
Deloitte.
Public Law
The Public Law service line comprises more than 60 legal
practitioners in various countries throughout the world.
These lawyers assist clients with the complete range of public
law from matters of environmental law, energy law, criminal public law to
public construction law, and others. They help clients to obtain all necessary
permits, licenses, or consents from national, regional, and local authorities
and in all proceedings before constitutional and administrative courts.
Reorganization Services
Working together with financial experts and accountants, the
lawyers from the Reorganization Services line offer a full range of legal
services to companies who are considering or undergoing reorganization. They
offer advice on creditors’ position and securities; standstill agreements;
voluntary liquidations; cross-border insolvencies; and, bankruptcy and
other court appointments. They also handle issues related to international
