The Financial Analyst reports directly to the CFO and will be an integral part of our strategy to leverage all business units across multistate businesses and international territories. They are responsible for completing ad hoc analysis of general ledger accounts, customer accounts, product analysis, budgets and forecasts, as required. Under general supervision, the Financial Analyst performs strategic business research and analysis for the various departments of Val-Co. The Financial Analyst develops business plans and market research studies in support of specific Company personnel directions and initiatives. They also provide consultation, and/or staff support to various strategic committees and programs. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business management with 1 to 3 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Knowledge and appreciation of business concepts and requirements as applicable to a manufacturing and distribution organization. Knowledge and understanding of business research principles, processes, and techniques. Ability to process computer data and to format/generate reports. Ability to develop and prepare business analyses and plans. Knowledge of the principles of strategic business decision-making. Ability to create, compose, and edit written material. Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.? Consultative and advisory skills.
