POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staff Accountant responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability and financial reporting, supporting the monthly close process and other special projects, as assigned.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, reviewing and completing all assigned month-end functions.Perform comprehensive accounting activities to maintain a complete and accurate general ledger.Perform reconciliations and maintain documentation related to balance sheet accounts such as cash, receivables, prepaids, fixed assets, WIP, deposits, line of credit, accruals, etc.Perform daily cash reconciliation.Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s or higher degree; Accounting or Finance preferred
1 to 2 years Public Accounting Experience Required
CPA designation a plus
Required Skills and Abilities:
1-2 years accounting/finance experiencePublic accounting experience a plusKnowledge in the interpretation and application of core accounting principles and practices with strong understanding of accounting theoryAbility to work with multiple entities in complex legal structureHighly detail oriented and organized in workAbility to meet assigned deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to act and operate independently with minimal daily directionProficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Office applications, particularly strong Excel skillsAbility to work within a growing, entrepreneurial companyAbility to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibilities.
Travel Requirements: No travel required.
Work Conditions: General office environment.
