The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is seeking a Financial Securities/Financial Services Instructional Desginer within the Office of Human Resources in Washington, DC.

DUTIES
Identifying, developing and administering learning and development strategies and initiatives in securities, legal, finance, accounting, regulation, or economic analysis, training on industry and position specific learning that support the operational programs and goals of the Commission.
This includes the design, development, delivery and evaluation of technical skills/operations and instructional materials and programs in securities, legal, finance, accounting, regulation, or economic analysis. Instructional products, materials and programs results from analyzing organization learning needs, job and target audience requirements, curriculum analysis, evaluation and redesign within the financial services industry including, but not limited to: Series 7, 6, or 63, current securities products (hedge funds, CDs, etc.), fraud detection, advanced securities operations, current regulatory environment, market trends, risk assessment and analysis, accounting, finance, statistics, economics, and business. Programs are classroom-based and/or technology-based learning and development.
Coordinate with internal staff and outside consultants in the development and implementation of learning and development initiatives to integrate key goals, priorities and other factors associated with the vision and mission of the Commission. Inherent to this position is the ability to balance change and continuity, to continually strive to improve customer service and program performance, and to create a work environment that encourages creative thinking in a diverse workplace.
REQUIREMENTS
You must be a U.S. Citizen.
Education:Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position (e.g. financial securities, law, accounting, economics, statistics, finance, capital market formation, or regulation); or a combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study.
Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level developing and implementing advanced level courses covering legal and regulatory aspects of financial securities for financial industry practitioners employed in law, securities or accounting organizations.
