Tax Manager

Position: Tax Manager


Full Time or Part Time

Salary: 35k to 55k


Reports to: Accounting Director





Summary:


Beck Advisory Group (Beck) is a small consulting firm offering strategy, legal, accounting, and tax services to individual physicians and medical practices. Beck focuses on building long-term relationships with its clients and providing unmatched client service. Beck is looking to employ a Certified Public Accountant to manage its tax practice, particularly during the peak tax season, and act as a resource for client questions regarding tax strategy. Primary responsibilities include the preparation/review of individual and business tax returns, research and analysis of tax issues related to business transactions and year round tax planning for clients.






Roles and Responsibilities of Tax Manager


Prepares and reviews individual and business income tax returns.
Researches and consults on various federal and state tax matters.
Utilizes tax-related software.
Supervises and coordinates activities of the tax staff.
Develops tax policies and procedures and ensures compliance.
Effectively communicates and explains tax law and policies to clients.
Performs tax planning and provides strategy services to clients throughout the year to optimize the client's tax position and business objectives.





Salary and Benefits


Salary will be dependent on candidate level of experience, range from $35k to $55k. Position is eligible for bonuses.Benefits are available to candidates applying for a full-time position.





Qualifications:


5 or more years of tax return preparation experience.
Thorough understanding of partnership tax law preferred.
Prior Big 4 or regional firm experience a plus.
CPA in good standing.
A Bachelor's Degree is required. A Master's Degree in Tax or Accounting is preferred.
Must possess excellent communication skills and responsiveness to clients.
