Accountant

Position Overview:

Responsible for managing the accounting for growing Taco Bell Gift Card program including journal entries, all bank and account reconciliations, period/quarterly financials, annual audit and all client reporting. Liaison with Finance, Marketing, Yum accounting, related financial institutions and Information Technology to ensure automation of all accounting processes.

- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
- Maintain all financial records in compliance with accepted policies and procedures and ensure that all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Manage period, quarterly and year end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities each period
- Develop and maintain financial data bases
- Responsible for financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process
- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
- Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
- Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
- Prepare period reconciliations and identify proper reconciliation and oversight and control processes
- Prepare and maintain period Breakage calculation report
- Review the Quarterly and Yearly financial results, the Balance Sheet, and changes in significant accounts or accruals as part of the QBR Meeting with Yum Control Department and KPMG

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 2+ years accounting experience or auditing in a Public Accounting firm
- Knowledge of US GAAP & SOX 404
- Solid financial management and analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Process oriented and able to manage to critical timelines
- Proactive with good time management; ability to work independently
