Position summary
As the result of a promotion within the organization, an accounting position is open in the Consolidations group.? This opportunity interacts with local management as well as colleagues at 95 legal entities around the world.? The Consolidation team is responsible for accurate and timely reporting of consolidated results in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and in compliance with Lubrizol's policies and procedures.? ?Hyperion Enterprise and FDM are used to upload and translate local currency results, record eliminations and consolidate results for presentation to Lubrizol upper management and parent company, Berkshire Hathaway.? This position reports to the Manager of Consolidations.

Publication of exchange rates
Maintenance of holding company ledgers
Uploading entities, performance of reasonability testing,? translation verification, preparation of journals and elimination entries culminating in consolidated financial statements
Additional reporting demonstrating lower level of detail and/or trending for accounts where management requires greater visibility
Preparation of quarterly and year end additional reporting necessary for external reporting by Berkshire Hathaway
Government census reporting
Maintenance of consolidation software (Hyperion Enterprise) and upload software (FDM), including brainstorming on the best handling of new reporting requirements
Interaction with internal and external auditors when required
Special projects as assigned Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university
Minimum (5) years of accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of Excel
Good written and spoken communication skills

SALARY RANGE: $58,702 TO $78,447
