member firm, and several other business leaders. The event prepares students
how to work in different team situations and offer solutions to client judges.
In this program, sixty-six students participated from around 30 countries.

Kent Kirch, Deloitte's director of global recruiting, said, "The
multi-national, multi-cultural aspect of the event identifies talented
individuals who may one day come to work for Deloitte member firms, or may one
day be Deloitte clients. This approach is critical to identifying future
business leaders." He further explained that Deloitte Student Business Forum is
unique because it offers an international business experience to talented
people. Students participating in the program mainly came from countries such
as the UK, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Slovakia, Serbia, Romania, Portugal,
Poland, Norway, Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, Hungary, Finland, Czech Republic,
Croatia, CIS and Belgium.
The Student Business Forum was launched by Deloitte in the year 2007, welcoming
approximately 50 students out of 700 who applied for the 3-day residential
program. Those students who are selected to take part in Deloitte Student
Business Forum are mainly interested in international career and have great
leadership ability. Kirch said that Deloitte SBF brings students who
investigate their options for future careers. Kirch concluded, "Students are
able to get a sense of an international professional services career, and bring
the knowledge they have gained from the experience."
