PwC: Bob Moritz re-elected as U.S. Chairman and Senior Partner

beginning July 1, 2013. Over the past several years, Mr. Moritz has intensified PwC’s commitment to diversity and corporate responsibility, particularly around youth education, including a $160 million commitment to youth education and financial literacy the firm announced last June. In 2012 the firm was recognized as the #1 company for diversity by DiversityInc. And this month Mr. Moritz was featured in CR Magazine, which honored him as a Responsible CEO of the Year in September 2012.

“I’m humbled to have earned the trust of my partners to continue to lead our firm in delivering quality service to our clients and creating value for all our stakeholders. For PwC, that importantly includes the capital markets, including investors, our people and our communities,” he said.

Mr. Moritz is the Chair of the Center for Audit Quality Governing Board, and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York and New Jersey State Societies of CPAs. He is also a board member of the Atlantic Council, the Conference Board, the Partnership for New York City and the Oswego College Foundation.

Prior to leading PwC’s U.S. firm, Mr. Moritz held a number of other leadership positions at PwC. Since 2006, he led the firm’s Assurance business, which provides audit, assurance and accounting expertise. He previously served as managing partner of PwC’s New York office and led the firm’s U.S. financial services practice.
