Following Andrew Turnbull’s retirement from the firm, PwC has announced that economist Jeremy Thorpe has been appointed as the Canberra Office Managing Partner. PwC firms provide industry-focused assurance, tax and advisory services to enhance value for their clients. More than 161,000 people in 154 countries in firms across the PwC network share their thinking, experience and solutions to develop fresh perspectives and practical advice. See pwc.com for more information.
“I am pleased to be returning to Canberra to lead our team who were awarded Best ACT Firm in this year’s BRW Client Choice Awards,” says Thorpe. “PwC’s Canberra team is renowned for their depth of expertise in serving government and private clients, so it’s a privilege for me to join the office.”
PwC CEO Luke Sayers also commented:
“I want to pay tribute to Andrew Turnbull who was instrumental in the expansion of PwC Canberra when Walter Turnbull merged with the firm two years ago. We thank Andrew for his vision and his efforts in establishing PwC as the leading local professional services firm,” he said. “Canberra is a key market for PwC. We are focused on the government and private clients sectors and I am delighted that our leading economist will take over the reins.”
