By Rob Starr, Content Manager, Big4.com
Craig Hughes joined PwC in September, after 19 years with Ernst & Young, and takes over as Head of Real Estate from John Berriman, who has led the practice for the past two years.
Before joining PwC, Craig worked with organisations including leading public companies, sovereign wealth funds, private equity houses, pension funds and corporate occupiers. His experience spans a wide range of service offerings, in addition to his role as an audit partner, including operational efficiency, cost reduction, regulation, buy and sell-side transaction support and strategic advice.
“We are experiencing incredible levels of transaction activity which is a reflection of the increase in market activity combined with the huge reputation the team have in the market. Activity amongst mature and emerging sovereign capital is significant and our global reach and focused sovereign team enables us to support them very effectively,” he said. “The unique real estate related experience we gained from the Lehman Brothers administration has given the practice unique insight and capabilities that many clients are keen to access.”
