“Students Today. Leaders Tomorrow,” Provides Hands On Experience
CLEVELAND, April 3, 2012 – PwC US expanded their “Students Today. Leaders Tomorrow,” program with Saint Martin de Porres High School today with a business session for seniors at the Wyndham Hotel in Cleveland.
The session included executive members from PwC’s Cleveland office and eleven additional Northeast Ohio corporations. It highlighted planning for college, career opportunities and financial preparation. Robert D. Saada, Managing Partner of PwC’s Cleveland office and Lake Erie Region commented:
“Our partnership with Saint Martin de Porres High School continues to grow, and as it does, we get the pleasure of interacting with incredible students,” he said. “More than 80 seniors are currently involved in the program, which focuses on skill development, financial literacy and connecting with local corporations more extensively. We’re proud of the curriculum we’ve established and the impact it’s making on these students.”
Students researched the companies before posing questions to top level executives in attendance . Later, the students presented career and budget plans based on the information gleaned about the Northeast Ohio companies. With more than 30 PwC partners and staff present at the event, the program aimed at helping the students build leadership skills through a hands-on experience.
The first of the bi-annual events associated with the “Students Today. Leaders Tomorrow.” program was held on November 9th at the Quicken Loans Arena, where the students participated in communication and teamwork activities. More than 30 PwC Partners and staff were on-hand to help facilitate the session.
