The Sr. Business Operations Manager role will be a part of the global products business management team that works with senior executives in multiple functional units including sales, finance, corporate strategy, product management, product marketing and business development. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Products Business Management.
Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded Business Operations and Management professional with functional experience in digital media, technology, and strategy/management consulting. You will be a self-starter with the passion to excel in everything that you do, to make things happen and create impact. You will have the ability to work effectively in high-energy, cross-functional teams, and be able to confidently communicate your findings to customers and senior executives as well as run day-to-day processes and get embedded with product management teams.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as business partner to VPs of Product Management and help them with weekly staff meetings, monthly business reviews, product planning and roadmap planning efforts.
- Own and run horizontal processes from designing/optimizing, tooling, facilitating recurring sessions, tracking down actions and reporting on process results.
- Develop strong relationships with senior leaders across the products organization, working closely with product leaders in communicating path forward, facilitating coordination, and promoting efficient communication across the products org.
- Work with product management teams to oversee and track the progress of strategic projects and support other ad-hoc tactical and strategic projects as required
- Track and report on operating metrics, compile and communicate the progress to the leadership teams and develop weekly and monthly operations updates.
- Develop strategy presentations and create internal and external communications for board meetings, events, investor meetings and other key constituent interactions.
- Work closely with OpsFin on resourcing, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is a plus
- 5+ years of related work experience; preferably in the digital media or internet space
- Background in management consulting a plus with experience managing client projects
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office tools – Excel, PowerPoint…etc. HTML and CSS familiarity are a plus
- Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills.
- Superior quantitative and analytical abilities. Demonstrated skills in systematic problem solving. Ability to present decisions and trade-offs with incomplete data
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a cross-functional environment to develop solutions to maximize business results; can provide leadership in the absence of clear positional authority
- Ability to manage and participate in conversations with senior executives.
- Self-starter who requires a minimum of supervisory oversight; naturally agile and flexible in fast-changing and undefined situations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high quality results. Willingness to roll-up sleeves and get it done. Steps up to own the outcome.
