Senior Internal Audit Position – NYC

Our client, a Fortune 50 Company in NYC is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor for their growing team!

Responsibilities:

Lead client audit engagements, which include planning executing, directing, and
completing financial audits.
Begin to develop generally accepted accounting principles and reporting rules, where
applicable, and workpaper presentation.
Obtain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common
audit procedures and techniques.
Supervise, train and mentor associates and interns on audit process.
Research and analyze financial statement and audit related issues.
Acquire a working knowledge of the Company’s business.
Proactively interact with key client’s management to gather information, resolve problems,
and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
Perform other job related duties as necessary.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of recent work experience as an auditor in the Big 4, demonstrating a progression in complexity of auditing tasks. Preferably someone who has worked with manufacturing clients.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).

Education and icenses:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
CPA required. 4 parts passed for the CPA exam awaiting certification is acceptable.

Salary – 65 to 85K + Bonus
