Federal Tax Manager

We are currently seeking a Federal Tax Manager to join us in our Columbus office.
KPMG's Federal Tax Services Practice is a resource for clients that need help complying with the latest IRS rules and regulations. Our tax professionals who handle federal tax issues bring the experience and commitment necessary to deliver tax compliance and advisory services to help meet our clients' specific needs.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services including planning, research, compliance and general mergers and acquisitions activities
- Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on helping to provide industry knowledge and experience
- Perform overall engagement planning and job administration
- Prepare corporate tax returns and perform a thorough review of working papers
- Review compliance and consolidate returns for a variety of clients including corporations, S- corps, partnerships, LLCs and LLPs
- Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members
Qualifications:
- Five years of public accounting and/or corporate tax experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a J.D. from an accredited college/university
- Knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters including tax provision and advisory experience
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Ability to handle multiple engagements
- Licensed CPA
- Able to work with staff in a training capacity
