A Sr. Revenue Analyst to join there team. Our client has informed us they are seeking Big 4 candidates with 2+ years of experience in a audit of software companies, CPA is preferred but not required. Big 4 candidates are greatly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in the worldwide, quarterly revenue reporting process, as well as providing support in quarter and year-end review/audit procedures
Analyzing sales contracts to ensure worldwide revenues are properly accounted for under US GAAP
Assisting in other revenue related projects, such as VSOE testing and other system tests
Reviewing status of professional services work for revenue recognition purposes
Preparation of required journal entries during monthly/quarterly close cycles
Working with sales, professional services & legal to provide consultation to field sales force in accordance with SOP 97-2, 98-1 & 81-1 during customer negotiations to achieve revenue objectives
Training of sales & professional services professionals on revenue recognition policies
Assisting in supporting Internal Audit reviews of the revenue cycle
Aiding in the documentation of processes in compliance with SOX requirements and ensuring those processes are adhered to within the Quote to Cash process
Requirements:
- 2 years in public accounting or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Software Revenue Recognition, including SOP 97-2, SOP 98-1, SOP 81-1, SAB 104 and other related standards
- Strong general knowledge of other accounting and finance areas beyond revenue
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as the position requires effective interactions with sales personnel
- Excel skills, experience with Oracle Financials 11i and Discoverer preferred
