Accenture Opens Consulting Innovation Center In Singapore

 

According to a recent report, Accenture will open a Management Consulting Innovation Center in Singapore in the beginning of 2009. This center will function as a regional focal point for developing and demonstrating new offerings and ideas in management consulting. The Management Consulting Innovation Center will also serve the growing business of the company in Asia Pacific region.

This new center in Singapore will initially concentrate on designing and enhancing regional and worldwide operating models. It will also offer services to the customers in areas like strategic cost management.

Accenture’s group chief executive, Management Consulting & Integrated Market, Mark Foster, said that apart from having an outstanding workforce and strong infrastructure, Singapore also houses regional quarters of over 4,000 multinational businesses, which makes it an important location for their Innovation Center. He further said that these business units will certainly benefit from the offerings that they provide in numerous business disciplines.

Advisors at the Innovation Center will help to bring consulting skills in several areas, including post-merger integration; operating model architecture design; and business process design. They will work personally with experts in other Accenture advisory teams and innovation centers all over the world.

Accenture’s country managing director for Singapore, Teo Lay Lim, said, “The Management Consulting Innovation Center will serve as the base for a staff of dedicated subject matter experts who are experienced in using innovation and technology to help drive business results.” He further said that the Innovation Center will have professionals from all over the world to conduct research and develop intellectual property. They will also give real solutions to their customers through diagnostic tools, case studies and hands-on-demonstration.

Accenture started its business in Singapore in the year 1975. Today it serves international and domestic clients across several industries such as telecommunications, energy, financial service, high technology and a lot more.
