Home improvement retailer Lowe's Cos. Inc. said it has named a former KPMG vice chairman, S. Thomas Moser, to its board of directors. Moser, who is 61, will be the board's 12th director. He has been appointed to the board's governance and audit committees. He was vice chairman at KPMG LLP from 1998 until his retirement in February 2008. He first joined KPMG in 1970.
